Just want to take a moment to share my thoughts on The Faraway workshop I recently attended in November.  I’ve been waiting for this opportunity since I moved to the Key Penninsula 4 years ago! It was so well done and so much fun! The Block Printing, the bulb planting and the beautiful lunch were really lovely!  I think what impressed me the most was the attention to detail that Brook put into the workshop. The beautifully set table, the food that met all of the dietary needs of the guests but also delicious!  Well worth the wait and I will definitely be attending more!  Thank you, Brook!

Hello Brook, 

I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the class and delicious lunch today.  I so appreciated the effort you put into the details of setting a beautiful table, silverware, china, teacups, name tags, and food to fit everyone's tastes. It's a lost art of entertaining today without using disposable utensils and paper plates. 

You've inspired me to think about hosting a ladies lunch - using the China- keeping the food simple. For a bunch of ladies who didn't know one another we had a lot to chat about. 

I'm looking forward to attending future events on your beautiful farm. 

Also- I would love the pear crisp recipe... that was yummy!

I had the best time attending the block print workshop at The Barn Marche.

Brook’s hospitality is like taking a step back in time.  Her attention to detail is impeccable, serving gluten free and vegan options for her guests.  For lunch we sat around a communal table, covered with beautiful linens, china and silver.  I felt as if it was an event back in the glory days of The Faraway. 

Our instructor, Kristin, was an accomplished artist who shared with us her craft and process.  By the end of the class I was truly inspired!  

What a beautiful day it was spending with a great instructor, a beautiful location, old fashioned hospitality and a lovely group of ladies, I can’t wait to take more classes!

Morning Brook,

I just wanted to reach out to say thank you for offering such a warm, inviting and cheery event on Saturday.  I had to say goodbye to my beloved heart horse Chester just a few days prior and wasn’t sure how I was going to feel.  But you created such a loving environment and the other women were lively and fun and Kristin a joy to meet.  And, I was able to make a wonderful block print for Chester - that made my heart happy.  

So glad you are moving forward with your dream to offer classes.  It’s such a gift to our community.
